Daewoo enters the mini-Tablet PC market by releasing its Daewoo C920. Measuring 241.4mm x 209.3mm x 27.7mm and weighing at only 1.21kg, the tablet is powered by an Intel Atom N270 CPU with an Intel 945 Express, a 1GB of RAM, a 60GB of HDD (1.8-inch @ 4200rpm), and a 8.9-inch touchscreen display with a 1024×600 resolution. The C920 also features a 1.3MP webcam for video conference. No info on pricing so far.

Samsung N310 Now Available In The UK

Samsung has announced the availability of its N310 netbook in the UK via Ebuyer.com. You’ll be able to get your hands on this mini laptop for just £364.98 ($601). As a reminder, the N310 offers a 10.1-inch WSVGA Glare SuperBright Gloss LED display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, an Intel GMA950 graphics card, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB HDD, a webcam, Windows XP Home OS, a 3-in-1 card reader, Ethernet LAN, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 4 cell battery.

HP Mini 2140 Discontinued

HP has stopped taking orders for the Mini 2140 and has added the netbook to its list of discontinued products. The HP Mini 2140 is a mini-laptop with a 10 inch LCD screen, an Intel Atom processor, a spill-resistant keyboard, an accelerometer, and a sturdy aluminum/magnesium alloy case.

Sony VAIO NW 15.5″ Notebook With Blu-Ray For $880

Sony has rolled out another affordable notebook namely the Sony VAIO NW. This stylish machine comes in three lovely colors: walnut brown, birch white and rattan silver, and features a 15.5-inch widescreen HD display with 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics card, a 4GB RAM, a 400GB hard drive, a 1.3MP webcam, a Blu-ray drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, 3x USB ports, an ExpressCard port, a microSD card slot, a memory stick PROTM slot and Windows Vista OS. The VAIO NW notebook will be available starting this month with price starts at $880 upwards.

Netbook Offering From Huawei On The Way

Known for their telecommunications devices, Huawei have showcased their first 10-inch netbook during CommunicAsia in Singapore. Looking a lot like an Asus Eee PC S101, this mini laptop is equipped with an Intel Atom N270/N280 processor, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB HDD and an integrated UMTS modem. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing and availability yet.

Toshiba Qosmio G50W/95JW Notebook

Toshiba will release a new laptop from its Qosmio notebook series for the Japanese market in the end of July 2009. Dubbed as the Qosmio G50W/95JW, the laptop features a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 processor with a 4GB of RAM, a 500GB of HDD, an Intel PM45 Express Chipset, a 18.4-inch LCD screen with a Full HD resolution, and an nVidia GeForce 9600M GT with 512MB of VRAM. If you are interested, you should spend at least 304,800 Yen ($3,145) to purchase this laptop.

ASRock Ion-powered Multibook G22

Computer manufacturer ASRock comes back with its Multibook G22 laptop that sports a 12.1-inch LCD display with 1366 x 768 resolution and nVidia Ion chipset that allows Full HD video acceleration and faster 3D for mild gaming. Weighing 3.3lbs (without its 4,400mAh lithium-ion battery), the Multibook G22 also features a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom CPU, a 320GB hard drive and a 2GB of RAM (up to 4GB), and an HDMI output. Other specs including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, Gigabit Ethernet support, three USB 2.0 ports, a VGA output, a 10-in-1 card reader, and a 1.3-megapixel camera. Pricing info is still unknown.

Disney and Asus To Release Netpal Netbook


Disney has joined together with laptop maker Asus to release a Disney-branded netbook, known as the Netpal. It is specially designed for kids aged 6 to 12. The Netpal is based on Eee PC that comes equipped with a 8.9-inch LCD display, a Wi-Fi connectivity, an Intel Atom processor, and a Microsoft Windows XP OS with a customized interface featuring themes such as Mickey Mouse, Cars, Toy Story and WALL-E. You can choose from a 16GB SSD or a 160GB hard drive, while color choices include pink with floral designs or blue with Mickey Mouse icons. Each Netpal model is priced at $350 and should be available in July 2009.

Touted as the world’s fastest gaming laptop, the all new CyberPower Xplorer X7-Xtreme S1 is powered by an Intel Core i7-920 processor and features a 17-inch WUXGA TFT LCD display with 1920 x 1200 resolution, an Intel X58 + ICH10R chipset, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M graphics card, a 6GB DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, an optional SSD, a 3.1MP webcam, a Blu-ray drive, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on Windows Vista OS. Price starts at $2,335.

Sony Update its Vaio NW Laptops in Japan


Sony today updated its Vaio NW70 and NW50 with a 2.53Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 CPU, the Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit, a 15.5-inch Wide LCD (1366×768 resolution), a 4GB of RAM (upgradable up to 8GB), and a 500GB of HDD. The NW70 has a Blu-Ray recorder, meanwhile the NW50 comes with only the usual DVD Super Multi.

DosPara Prime Note Cresion NA


DosPara has launched its first Ion-based netbook in Japan. Measuring 305mm × 225mm x 37.5mm and weighing at just 1.92kg, the Prime Note Cresion NA comes jam packed with an Intel Atom A330 CPU with a 2GB of RAM, a 320GB of HDD, a 12.1-inch LCD with a 1366×768 resolution, a DVD super Multi, Wi-Fi, three USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI out, and D-SUB. The Prime Note Cresion NA is priced at €439 or around $609.

MSI X-Slim X600 Specs Unveiled


The specs of the highly anticipated MSI X-Slim X600 have been unveiled. The laptop will be released in two variations: one packing a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Solo processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive, and the other sporting a slower 1.2GHz Intel Celeron processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive. Both configurations feature ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphics with HDMI out, three USB ports, a six-cell battery and a 15.6-inch (1,366 x 768) LCD screen. The MSI X-Slim X600 will be priced at €799 and €949 ($1,120 and $1,320) when they hit Europe at the end of June.

Compal KTV00 with a Super-wide Touchpad


Taiwanese computer maker Compal comes back with its KTV00, a netbook with a super-wide touchpad. The mini-laptop runs on Moblin 2.0 beta and features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU which means it should be able to handle Windows, Ubuntu, or other operating systems just fine. BenQ Joybook Lite U101 10.1-inch Netbook


BenQ comes back with a new 10.1-inch Joybook Lite U101 netbook that comes jam packed with a 1.6-Ghz Intel Atom N270 processor with Intel mobile 945GSE express chipset. The netbook also utilities am Intel GMA950 with DirectX 9.0 capability, a 512MB DDR2 RAM (up to 1GB), and a 80/120/160GB SATA HDD at 5400rpm or 4GB SSD. Other features include three USB 2.0 ports, RJ-45 ethernet port, one D-Sub port, built-in 10/100 LAN Ethernet, Wi-Fi, a 1.3MP webcam, Bluetooth 2.0, 4-in-1 card reader which support MS/MS-Pro/SD/MMC, and Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition OS. BenQ has recently showed off the Joybook Lite U101 at Computex 2009.

Zepto Introduces Znote G15a Notebook


Zepto has introduced a new member to its notebook range in the form of the Znote G15a. The machine is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 processor and features a 15.4-inch WSXGA display with 1680 x 1050 resolution, a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics, a 4096MB DDR2 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, a 2MP webcam, a built-in microphone, Windows Vista OS, Bluetooth and Zepto Zpro2 Wireless 300Mbit connectivity. The Zepto Znote G15a is now available starting at $1,106.

Progress UXG i7920N/DVR from Faith Japan


Measuring 397mm x 298mm x 60mm, the Progress UXG i7920N/DVR from Faith Japan is a big notebook that comes with a 17.1-inch LCD screen with a WUXGA resolution (1920×1200), a 3.33GHz Core i7 975 Extreme Edition CPU, a 1GB nVidia GeForce GTX 280M, a 6GB of RAM (PC8500 DDR3), three 160GB SSD Intel X25-M, and DVD RAM. Weighing at 5.4kg, the desktop replacement is priced at a hefty 557,950 Yen ($5,681).

Acer Aspire One 751 Available For Pre-Order

The highly anticipated Acer aspire One 751 is now available for pre-order at Amazon. As a reminder, this mini laptop is equipped with a 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution, a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, an Intel GMA500 graphics, a 2GB RAM, a 250GB HDD, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, a webcam and runs on Windows Vista OS. You can pre-order this netbook for $399.99 (3-cell version) and $449.99 (6-cell version).

Archos Introduces Archos 10s Netbook


Archos has just introduced the successor to its Archos 10 netbook with the introduction of Archos 10s. Measuring only 0.87 inches thick and weighing just 2.2 pounds, this slim and light netbook comes equipped with a 10.2-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, a 1GB of RAM, a 80GB hard drive, Microsoft Windows XP Home OS and a choice of either three-cell or six-cell battery. The Archos 10s will be available later this month for unannounced price yet.

Glacial Tech X-Wing Notebook Cooler with Touch Panel

Glacial Tech today unveiled the X-Wing notebook cooler during Computex 2009. What makes this notebook cooler special is that it comes with media keys on the touch panel. You can also control the fan speed. No word on pricing so far.

Toshiba Satellite L500 And L550 Laptops Launched

Toshiba has added two new widescreen laptops to its range with the introduction of Satellite L500 and Satellite L550. Both machines are equipped with a choice of either an Intel Celeron / Pentium / Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon / Turion processor, a 500GB hard drive, a DVD burner, a VGA web camera supporting Toshiba’s Face Recognition software, an HDMI port, a 4-in-1 Bridge Media slot, two USB 2.0 ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and an additional eSATA/USB combo port. The main difference is that the L500 only comes with a 15.6-inch HD TruBrite display with 1366 x 768 resolution, meanwhile, the L550 offers a bigger 17.3-inch HD TruBrite display with power saving LED backlight technology, and a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. Both systems will be available in the third quarter of 2009 throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Apple New MacBook Pro Lineup

Apple today launched the all new MacBook Pro Aluminum Unibody family which include a 13-inch, a 15-inch and a 17 inch models. The new models provide 40% longer battery life with its built-in battery that provides 7 hours of work on a single charge. Other cool features include a LED-backlit displays, the Multi-Touch trackpad, an illuminated keyboard, a new SD card (13 and 15-inch) or ExpressCard slot (17-inch), a FireWire 800 port and new NVIDIA graphics. You can also upgrade these new MacBooks with up to 8GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive or a 256GB solid state drive. The 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pros can also be upgraded up with a 3.06-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The price ranges from $1200 to $2500, depending on the specs.

Hannspree’s Hannsnote Mini Notebook Goes On Sale

Remember the Hannspree’s Hannsnote Mini Notebook that we mentioned back in May? This ultra-mobile netbook is finally available for purchase via online from UK retailer Misco. As a reminder, this mini notebook is equipped with a 10-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, an Intel GMA950 graphics card, a 1.3MP webcam, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Windows XP Home OS, 3 USB ports, a 3-in-1 card reader, WiFi, Ethernet, Bluetooth and a six-cell lithium-ion battery. The Hannspree’s Hannsnote Mini Notebook is priced at £259.99 ($416).

Onkyo C204A5 10-inch WiMax Netbook

The Onkyo Sotec C204A5 is touted as the first WiMax ready netbook in the Japanese market. This 10-inch netbook features an Intel Atom N270 CPU with an Intel 945GSE Express, a 1GB of RAM, and a 32GB of SSD. The mini-notebook will be available in Japan in July 2009.

Clevo T890M Waterproof Industrial Notebook PC

Clevo has rolled out its new waterproof industrial notebook PC during Computex 2009. Dubbed as the T890M, the system offers an 8.9-inch WSVGA (1024 x 600) display with touch panel, an Intel Atom processor, an Intel US15W chipset, a 2MP video camera, WiFi, RFID or 2D bar code reader and GPS module. pricing and availability are still unknown at the moment.

Lengda’s New Mini-laptops

Computer maker Lengda just released two mini-laptops at Computex 2009. The Lengda X10K has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel screen, two USB ports, a VGA output, and an Ethernet cable. Meanwhile, the Lengda M11A is an 11.1 inch ultraportable featuring an Intel CULV processor. Watch the video after the jump to get more details.

MSI X-Slim X320 Thin and Light Notebook

The MSI X-Slim X320-037US is claimed to be the world’s lightest and slimmest 13-inch notebook. The laptop is now available in the United States via Newegg and Mwave for only $599. The X-Slim X320 features an Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz CPU, a 2GB RAM, a 250GB HDD, a 4-cell battery and Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium OS. The laptop is based on the Intel Menlow US15W chipset with the GMA 500 integrated graphics. Its 13-inch 16:9 display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and uses LED backlight. Other features include a 1.3MP webcam, stereo speakers, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, an Ethernet LAN port, three USB ports, a 2-in-1 media card reader, and a VGA output.

Panasonic Lets Note R8 Light Notebook

The new Panasonic Note Light R8 notebook comes jam packed with a 1.4-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 CPU, a 2GB of RAM that is upgradable up to 4GB, and a 64GB of SSD with 220MB/s reading speed. The Panasonic Lets Note CF-R8WWLAJP utilities Microsoft Windows Vista 32bit SP1 or Windows XP Professional Edition for the operating system. Priced at $1750, the notebook will be available in June 2009 in Japan.

HP Pavilion DV2 Notebook Upgraded With Dual Core AMD Athlon Neo Processor

HP has decided to update its HP Pavilion DV2 notebook with the latest Dual Core AMD Athlon Neo processor. Apart from having a faster dual-core Neo processor, the rest of the specs remain the same to the older model. In case you’ve forgotten, the system offers a 12.1-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution, an integrated Radeon HD3200 graphics, a 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, 3 USB 2.0 ports, WiFi, and a choice of either 4 or 6 cell battery. This updated version will be officially announced next week, we’ll keep you posted!
